Yukōdit equips children of all abilities, ages and backgrounds with the technical, collaborative and design thinking skills to succeed in their futures.

  • Austin Sroka, Montclair Center Director

    Austin’s professional experience has been focused in the areas of education, human services and small business development. Managing a family-owned business, Austin was involved with day-to-day operations and customer service at a flower shop. Austin has also worked as a program instructor at an after-school program providing reading and math support to struggling students, leveraging an educational technology platform. Most recently, Austin was a resident counselor at a transitional housing program based in New York City. He is passionate about the fusion of education and technology to impact student engagement and learning in the digital world. Austin graduated from Fairfield University with a bachelor’s degree in social sciences.

    Jamie Martin, Parent Outreach

    Jamie’s diverse experience includes leading Social Work programs for a Mental Health Organization, counseling and referral services for children and senior citizens and (most recently) chairing an After-School Enrichment Program for West Orange, NJ. This experience makes her uniquely positioned to lead parent outreach efforts for Yukōdit’s programs. When not at work, Jamie spends her time parenting two school age children and playing tennis. Jamie graduated with a Bachelor degree from Monmouth University and Master’s Degree (MSW) from Fordham University.

    Mike Halbert, Co-founder

    Mike has spent the past 15 years leading development teams in the investment banking industry. His experience is focused around building and managing strong software development teams and delivering solid software with an intuitive and engaging user experience. He has been in the IT industry for over 20 years and has been developing software and leading programs of change for most of his career. Mike is passionate about software and optimization of the development process. He holds a BS in Meteorology from North Carolina State University. He also loves llamas.

    Jamie Pagliaro, Co-founder

    Jamie has spent the past 20+ years working in the field of education. He started his career tutoring and managing programs for young children with autism. From there, he went on to start the first public charter school for children with autism in New York City, and then co-founded an innovative educational technology company that focuses on inclusive education in public schools. He earned his MBA from Villanova University and BA with honors in Psychology from Wesleyan University.
